CLINICAL TEST OF SPILANTHES ACMELLA FLOWER EXTRACT: Immediate reduction of crow’s feet wrinkles showed significant improvements in surface reduction by 12%, depth by 8%, and volume by 6% after a 28-day clinical trial conducted on a panel of 28 volunteers with mature skin. The study involved twice-daily application on the face using an extract with an identical concentration to our product. For a more youthful appearance of the neck, the clinical trial demonstrated a reduction in crinkled aspect by 12%, wrinkles and fine lines by 12%, and a remarkable increase in skin quality by 30% after 56 days. This study was conducted on 30 Caucasian women with mature skin, applying the product twice daily on the neck, décolleté, arms, and forearms at half the concentration of our product.

Why is this important? Furanocoumarins, found naturally in certain plants like carrots, parsley, and citrus fruits, can cause photosensitivity or skin reactions when exposed to sunlight (UV) light. Exposure to furanocoumarins followed by sunlight (UV-A) can lead to “phytophotodermatitis,” resulting in redness, blisters, and skin discoloration where applied.
