Zest the Best is a kaleidoscope-culinary formula created as an aperitif for the best breath ever. A savory synergy of herbaceous essences traditionally used to gently stimulate so you may savor what’s on your plate. Enjoy a drop in tea or olive oil before or after meals. Experience a whole garden in each drop as Zest the Best can freshen breath before or after meals, added to savory soups and salad dressings, inhaled to get the juices flowing, and massaged onto the solar plexus.
To freshen breath for your gourmet glee, use 1 - 2 drops in lieu of fresh or dried herbs and spices in your favourite soups, stews, brews. Delicious as an addition to salad dressing. A drop in tea or olive oil before or after meals. Or, simply open the bottle and inhale. All of the oils in Zest the Best are listed as GRAS by the FDA. *
*GRAS: Essential oils are under the purview of the FDA as food items, and it maintains mountains of regulations for the oral care use of oils. Among those regulations, the FDA keeps a list of essential oils that are labeled Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS). The GRAS label is granted to an essential oil by the FDA if it is "generally recognized, among qualified experts, as having been adequately shown to be safe under the conditions of its intended use…" The food and flavor industry adds essential oils like bergamot, peppermint, and vanilla to boost the taste and aroma of many items, such as juices, liqueurs, and teas.
It's no secret that I love food. Love everything about it. And most of the time I'm pretty well disciplined in not overeating, but sometimes I just lose the plot, and eat what seems like my body weight in dinner. Mostly when I cook a Mexican or Spanish feast at home. So, my husband and I break out the Digest the Best ... just one or two drops in a glass of water after our food coma has subsided and we wake up feeling as sprightly as ever. I also love to take the Digest the Best when we travel, as my tummy has become rather accustomed to home-made local organic fresh vegan meals and, when on-the-road and eating restaurant meals for weeks my tummy is oh so much happier with a drop of Digest the Best each evening.
